Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG are the main suitors for Eduardo Camavinga, a talented young player from Rennes. The latest news on the subject was that the ‘Blues’ have taken a step up on their rivals and ‘The Telegraph’ now reports that the ‘Red Devils’ fear the Frenchman would prefer to play in Spain.
What may reassure the Old Trafford side is that the main interested parties in LaLiga, Real Madrid and Barcelona, have not made any moves to sign him for weeks. ‘Los Blancos’ are prioritising the arrival of Kylian Mbappé and the Catalan side are close to reaching an agreement with Atletico to add Saul to their side.
The midfielder has a contract in Ligue 1 until 2022, so his future depends on whether he renews or leaves this summer, otherwise his owners would be at risk of losing him without acquiring any income in return. Considering he is one of the great promises of European football, this would be a catastrophe.
If ‘The Telegraph’s information is true, Camavinga may change his mind as soon as he realises that playing in Spain is not the most likely option for his 2021-22 season. He has on the table to continue in his native country or move to the Premier League, although, with much of the summer in between, this could change.
